Jo is married to Michael and Mum to three amazing boys. They live on a local property, making them Wellington locals.
For the first 15 years of her teaching career, Jo worked at Wellington Christian School, teaching primary classes and also secondary English, Art and Music as well as with students with special needs. Following this, her family moved to the Northern Territory where Jo taught at an Indigenous Boarding School for secondary students. An unforgettable and wonderful time of learning. Since returning to NSW, Jo worked for a number of years in Department of Education schools, both teaching and as an Assistant Principal.
Recently, Jo has returned to Wellington Christian School, a place that has always had her heart. Jo has been part of the new team here since 2015, in a part time capacity. She says it’s wonderful to see the school flourish and grow and is looking forward to seeing what God has in store.
Jo’s passion in teaching is getting to know her students well so that together they can work towards achieving their dreams. She loves incorporating creativity and imagination into the everyday and hopes to make school days fun, engaging and productive. Her favourite things to teach are usually connected to great books - writing, reading, discussing and learning from excellent stories. Art and technology and students' responses to each are also highlights of a teaching week for Jo.
Nicky and her husband have raised three daughters and lived and served in various places in Westerm NSW. She understands and deeply values what it is to be an active member of a community and knows the benefits this brings to both the individual and the community.
Nicole (Nicky) has been teaching since 2009. Much of her time has been spent teaching in DET schools and she is enjoying the change to Christian education and the freedom to integrate her Christian worldview with the curriculum.
Nicky is organised and fun by nature, a gift to every class she has taught, especially our current Stage 2 class.
