Mrs Jo Blatch

Diploma of Teaching (Primary)/ Bachelor of Education (4th Year upgrade)

Jo is married to Michael and is Mum to three amazing boys. They live on a property at Curra Creek, making them Wellington locals.
For the first fifteen years of her teaching career, Jo worked at Wellington Christian School, teaching primary classes and also secondary English, Art and Music as well as supporting students with special needs. Following this, her family moved to the Northern Territory where Jo taught at Woolaning Homeland Christian College, a boarding school for Aboriginal secondary students. Upon returning to NSW, Jo worked for a number of years in Department of Education schools, both teaching and as an Assistant Principal.

Jo returned to Wellington Christian School in 2014, a place that has always had her heart. Jo has been part of the new team here since then, firstly teaching RFF and then team teaching in Stage 2. She says it’s wonderful to see the school flourish and grow and is enjoying working with staff and school stakeholders to plan for the future of WCS.

In 2019 Jo applied for the position of Principal at WCS. God’s hand in leading Jo to this position has been evident in many ways and she is delighted to be serving the school community in this way.
Jo has a passion to partner with parents to help provide a wonderful environment for learning for the children of Wellington. She has a strong commitment to ensuring that every child is seen, known, understood and supported to become the person God has created them to be.
